CULTURAL UNDERSTANDING IN SCHOOLS
STUDENTS EXPERIENCE PEOPLE and CULTURE THROUGH MUSIC
Since the beginning of World Artists Experiences, the Ambassador and International Education teams have partnered with schools in many geographical areas to bridge the people and cultures of the world through many art forms. These people-to-people opportunities allow both students and teachers to know the world's people and their culture in a personal way. They are both on stage and off stage in educational settings. Through direct contact and dialogue, deeper understanding of people of the world begins for many. On the clip below enjoy the Megaron Choir from Slovenia with local students.
From Mary Austin, Coordinator for the International Baccalaureate Programme for Anne Arundel Schools.
"The International Baccalaureate Program in Anne Arundel County Public Schools has been fortunate to partner with World Artists Experiences for many years. Students and teachers have enjoyed performances by renowned artists from around the world, heard lectures given by international scholars, engaged in master classes with performers, shared lunch, and some language practice with our international partners! In this clip, International Baccalaureate Middle Years and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme students at Old Mill High School are enjoying the opportunity to practice and even perform with the Chamber Choir Megaron from Slovenia - what an experience!"
