WAE Focuses on Vision

World Artists Experiences bridges the world’s communities through showcasing their people and unique cultures. The organization’s goal is to give and receive, build mutual understanding, and offer partnerships. WAE seeks to provide dialogue that encourages respect, friendships that foster trust, and hope that inspires confidence. WAE empowers students, teachers, and communities to be goodwill ambassadors at the grass roots level. They listen, observe, and provide hospitality and inclusiveness as they host each group, resulting in learning and receiving far more than they give. Communities tell stories of how this helps people understand the world from a fresh perspective while connecting their community; 2016–2017 brings artists to carry out the WAE vision from throughout the world in its Ambassador Series of World Experiences.

August hosts Estonia with its great choral tradition being performed by an award-winning girls’ choir.September performances include Serbia with accordion music (from Bach fugues to the tango to jazz); Mexico presenting the great traditions of Veracruz with dance, music, and poetry; an Italian pianist; and a guitar duo from Slovenia.November brings visual artists from Uruguay (painter), China paper cutter), and Austria (exhibition by disabled artists).January 31 welcomes great artists from Beijing, including crafts, acrobatics, and music, to celebrate the Spring Festival.February 7 we travel to Russia with the Kremlin Chamber Orchestra. From February 6 to March 10, the 9th Annual Bridges to the World Film Festival offers the spirit of Hungary, Tunisia, Colombia, Jordan, and Korea in six locations (Annapolis, Bowie, California, Cumberland, Salisbury, and Towson).March, April, and June bring other great artists from Europe, Africa, the Americas, and/or Asia. All of these can be found on the WAE website:, by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots.
